dodie surprised fans with the release of “I’M FINE!” – her first solo single in over three years. The track is now available to stream and download via her new label, Decca Records. It was recorded in London, partly in dodie’s home studio and partly at Pixel, the studio of her long-time collaborator Joe Rubel. The release is accompanied by a music video created together with another frequent creative partner, Sammy Paul.

 

In 2021, dodie’s critically acclaimed debut album Build A Problem debuted at number 3 on the UK album charts. By then, she had already spent nearly a decade growing up in front of an audience, both in public and online. She made a name for herself as a singer and songwriter, winning over fans with her disarmingly honest videos and her moving, intimate vocal style. To date, her music has amassed over one billion streams, and she has attracted more than seven million followers across all platforms. She has sold out over 100 shows worldwide and serves as an ambassador for Unreal, a charity supporting people experiencing depersonalisation and derealisation.

 

“I’m Fine” marks dodie’s first new solo material since the release of her Hot Mess EP in 2022. Following that, she briefly stepped away from her solo career to form the band FIZZ with close friends Orla Gartland, Greta Isaac, and Martin Luke Brown. The group released their acclaimed – and so far only – album The Secret To Life in 2023, which they toured until the summer of 2024, culminating in a performance at Glastonbury Festival and an emotional final show at London’s MOTH Club.

 

Most recently, dodie recorded the lead track “Someone Was Listening” for the award-winning game Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, as well as a new version of the classic “Old Devil Moon” for the album Chet Baker Re:imagined, released last month.
