Hope

Just returned from supporting Bauhaus in London and Berlin, “the most promising German band right now” (nbhap.com) HOPE has finished the recording of their second album. Following up their highly acclaimed single SHAME (airplay on KEXP, BBC6), their 2017 debut album and extensive tours with IDLES, Algiers and Madrugada the new album sets a stripped-down, reduced-to-the-maximum tone. This leaves even more space for the urgence, clarity and vulnerability for Christine Boersch-Supan’s voice, piercing through sub-frequent synths, crackling guitar chords and revolutionary, minimalist drums.
