Júníus Meyvant

Westman Islands (Iceland) raised and born musician Unnar Gísli Sigurmundsson has been releasing music under the Júníus Meyvant moniker for few years.  

2014 was the year he premiered his award winning and critically acclaimed debut single “Color Decay”. The single garnered much praise internationally in publications such as KEXP, NPR, Clash Magazine, Line Of Best Fit and Gaffa. In the following year Júníus received the Icelandic Music Awards for the Best Single and Newcomer of the Year. 

What followed was several albums and successful headline tours across the globe (including performances at Roskilde Festival in Denmark and Bumbershoot in the US). He got invited twice from Kaleo to support him on soldout support tours across Europe in 2022 and 2024.

After a successful headline tour in 2025, he returns to Europe in 2026 for more shows.
