Lubiana

Lubiana is a Belgian-Cameroonian vocalist, composer, and instrumentalist who blends her African roots with pop, soul, and ethereal melodies. Her crystal-clear voice and the sound of the kora — a traditional West African string instrument — intertwine with urban textures and subtle echoes of classical music, creating a natural dialogue inspired by the call-and-response tradition.

 

Terre Rouge, her latest album, is an intimate and organic exploration of identity, travel, and ancestral memory. Recorded live, with a strong focus on acoustic tones and rhythmic pulse, the album builds a richly textured sonic world full of contrasts: between earth and sky, softness and rawness, nostalgia and modernity.
