VLURE break the rules, reject genre conventions, and create new ones. With uncompromising honesty and raw vulnerability, they confront the listener and get under your skin. They make you feel—exactly how music is meant to work. Five young Glaswegians explore their Scottish identity, weaving techno into high-energy, full live-band rave anthems through the lens of stadium-curious post-punk.

 

This five-piece band—made up of producers, poets, instrumentalists, and multidisciplinary artists—blurs the lines between live electronics, cutting-edge production technology, and the stage presence of their post-punk contemporaries. Drawing inspiration from UK rave, trance, happy hardcore, and alternative pop—all wrapped in a punk-infused aesthetic—they’ve self-produced everything they’ve released to date, treating genre as fluid and ever-changing. Their synth-drenched hooks and club-driven rhythms intertwine with emotionally intense lyrics.

VLURE’s live shows are intense yet life-affirming experiences. Analog synths clash with samplers, live breakbeats, and jagged, angular guitars. Frontman Hamish Hutcheson commands every stage—locking eyes with the audience and forcing full engagement as he lays his experiences bare. NME describes their gigs as “an emotional outlet that you cannot experience anywhere else.”

 

This is the sound of coming of age in Glasgow—the sound of two brothers and three friends spending endless days dreaming of something more, finding themselves and their loved ones in the city’s afterparties, basement venues, and underground dancefloors. VLURE feel equally at home hosting their own underground Euphoria events as they do performing on the stage at Glastonbury. Their long-awaited debut album is set for release in 2025.
